The Divine Mother Is Coming
A Thousand-Year Precedent
For as long as the Mother has been worshipped in India, Her power has been anchored the same way — through the Sri Chakra, the sacred structure at the very heart of creation.
Adi Shankaracharya created the very first one. He meditated at Sri Sailam, connected directly to Shiva and received instructions, and formed it of pure petals — twelve angles, six rising, six descending. Then he carried it to Tirupati and laid it beneath the feet of Lord Venkateshwara. Every powerful Mother Divine temple that followed — Sri Sailam and Kalahasti — held a charged Sri Chakra before its deity. Sri Kaleshwar taught that they were placed there with sankalpam and high Vedic prayers until the very rock began to vibrate.
The Lineage Continues

This is not distant history. In Penukonda, October 2011, when the original Kanaka Durga was installed at Sri Kaleshwar’s ashram, a charged Sri Chakra was buried in the earth before Her — and by the master’s own instruction, Mataji lowered it into the ground with her own hands.
What was done in Penukonda is done again here at the Divine Mother Center: 108 charged Sri Chakra Merus, nine buried on Guru Purnima day, July 29th — the same lineage, the same process, bringing the Mother and Her worship to the West.

We Are Preparing the Ground for Her
She Is Coming
A seven-foot granite murthi of Kanaka Durga — a form of the Divine Mother that Sri Kaleshwar personally envisioned and guided into being, sister to the maha murthi that stands outside his samadhi in Penukonda — is being carved near Tirupati by the chief sculptor of the Tirupati Venkateshwara temple complex, son of the master who carved the original.
She is more than three-quarters complete. She crosses the ocean to the Divine Mother Center this fall, to stand upon the very ground the nine now hold.

The Holy Mountain at the Axis of Creation
The 108
One hundred eight solid brass Meru Sri Chakras — the three-dimensional form of the Sri Chakra, the holy mountain at the axis of creation — are now at the Divine Mother Center. Through the eight days of the Guru Purnima retreat (July 22–29) they will be charged at this power spot: bathed in the abishek to Shirdi Baba, the abishek to Dattatreya, and carried through the maha fire ceremony on Guru Purnima day itself.
And then, on that same day, the first earth will be turned.

Nine of the 108 will be buried in the earth at the exact place where the Mother’s stage will stand — the formal groundbreaking of the Mother Divine Temple. Sri Kaleshwar taught that when a charged object enters the ground of a power spot, the energy of the whole place multiplies beyond measure. These nine will rest beneath Her feet for the next thousand years.

Questions
When does my Meru arrive?
Merus ship in the weeks immediately following Guru Purnima (early August for the first wave). Later registrations ship as they are received.
Do I need to attend the Guru Purnima retreat?
No. The Meru offerings are separate from retreat registration, though the groundbreaking will be recorded and shared within the retreat. Retreat details are at the Guru Purnima 2026 page.
What is the weekly process?
A live group shakti process guided by Mataji, broadcast from the Divine Mother Center in DEVI LOKA, with meditation, mantras, and guidelines for working with your own Meru. DEVI LOKA community subscribers who are Meru Keepers have this access. It begins a few weeks after the retreat, once the Merus have reached their homes. Participation is welcomed, never required.
How do I care for a Meru?
Full instructions ship with your Meru — placement, abishek, and daily practice, drawn from Sri Kaleshwar’s teachings on power objects.
What if the murthi is delayed?
Ocean shipping takes four to eight weeks; Her arrival may come after Navaratri. The weekly process simply continues until She is here and installed — the sangha will be mid-practice when She lands, whenever She lands.
