Sri Kaleshwar taught that the eyes in a picture carry the same energy as the living master's eyes. "You can heal millions of people just through your picture," he said. "It means seeing the eyes in your picture." A sacred image is not a reminder. It is a channel — and it works whether you understand the mechanism or not. "It's like fire," he said. "If you know it's hot and you touch it, it burns. If you don't know and you touch it, it still burns."
The Record
The Sri Sai Satcharitra records that "looking at Baba's picture is truly equivalent to seeing him in person." In 1913, a saint named Balabuva bowed before Baba's portrait in Mumbai. Four years later, arriving in Shirdi for the first time, Baba said: "I have known this man for four years." Five hundred miles. Four years. It made no difference.
