Male & Female Energies
AS THE FIRE IS INSEPARABLE FROM ITS POWER TO BURN, SO IS OUR DIVINE MOTHER INSEPARABLE FROM OUR DIVINE FATHER. BUT THE POWER TO CREATE, WHICH IS THE FEMALE ENERGY, IS NECESSARY FOR THE COSMOS TO COME INTO BEING
All of the creation happens from the combination of male and female energies. For each of us, without a mother and father, we would have no life. This is also true of our divine parents, the Divine Mother and Divine Father. Our human mother creates us in her womb with a seed from our human father, just as our Divine Mother creates our soul from the seed of the Divine Father’s energy. She creates our soul, made of both their energies, in Her cosmic womb. Shiva is the Divine Father, the eternal unchanging reality and infinite space that holds all things. He is the sky and the Mother is the earth. The Father is the eternal witness of all that the Mother, the Shakti, creates. He is always observing, as taking care of each creation that comes from the Mother’s womb.
The Divine Mother and Father are inseparable. Wherever She is, He is. Wherever He is, She is. Their love is immortal, beyond time and space. They cannot separate themselves from each other. They are two sides of one coin. They are One. But when creation begins, they appear to be separate from one another. In this cosmic dance, for the sake of creation they appear to become two. So unfolds their immortal romance, the eternal dance of duality, male and female, Father and Mother, static and dynamic, unmanifest and manifest.
Shiva/Shakti In Creation
Before time began, there was nothing but the eternal silence that contained all possibilities. Within that stillness, an urge to create arises, and a divine pulsation, an indescribable spark of power and light roars through a point in the silence, and creation begins. This spark is the big bang modern science describes as the beginning of creation, the first manifestation of God’s power. This power is called shakti. This is our Divine Mother. She comes to the forefront and appears as separate from the Father to begin manifesting the creation. But She is, in reality, the shakti, of the Father Himself. The power to create, which is the female energy, is necessary for the cosmos to come into being. As Lao Tzu said, “Nameless indeed is the source of creation, but things have a Mother and She has a name.”
Shiva/Shakti In Spirituality
THE SHIVA/SHAKTI ENERGIES CAN’T BE SEPARATED, AND TO UNDERSTAND ONE, WE MUST UNDERSTAND THE OTHER.
When we observe male and female energies around us in creation, we see that they play different roles and manifest in different ways, but one can’t exist without the other. During the spiritual journey, the Mother’s energy becomes awake in us and merges with the Father’s energy. The Mother then reveals the Father, and we experience the bliss of their eternal union, enlightenment.
